If you’re reading this, you’ve probably met me - I’m the tall, handsome man who can’t stop talking about comics. (Two of those things are definitely true. I’ll let you decide which.)
You might remember me from MCM Comic-Con at the Fable booth, our first stab at a comics app:
Or more recently, at Lakes Comic Con in scenic Windermere, debuting new and improved Comixit! (although, in all honesty, the only scenery I saw was a car park):
Over the past couple of years, it’s been a real joy meeting so many of you. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy, but talking about comics all day long certainly helps. And comics really are extraordinary. As a great man once said, you can do anything with words and pictures. And now we’re using technology to bring that magic to the next generation: creating a place where kids can read brilliant comics and create their own, safely, joyfully, and confidently.
I’m emailing because we’re finally at the end of the long road to launch - and before we announce anything big, I wanted to reach out personally to the people who’ve been part of the journey.
There’s more coming very soon. (Really soon.) And you’ll be the first to know.
In the meantime, I’d hugely appreciate one small thing: give us a follow on social media.
Even if you don’t have kids, I know you love comics, and you probably know a young reader (or a future reader) who will love our app. And with children’s reading at its lowest level in decades, I’d be grateful if you shared this newsletter and our social pages with anyone who might care about fixing that.
