Hello hello! 👋 It’s Bryn here, your resident inbox-dweller, comic appreciator, and official responder to messages that begin with “My child won’t stop reading…” (the best kind).
We wanted to pop in with a little behind-the-scenes update, because something pretty exciting is happening…
✨ Comixit! is getting noticed. ✨
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been popping up in some lovely places because more people are starting to agree on something we’ve believed all along: comics are a wonderful tool to get kids reading again.
📰 In the press
We were recently featured in License Global, talking about how licensed digital comics (hello, Beano 👋) can help kids build real, lasting reading habits. The piece explores why comics are such a powerful gateway into reading, especially for kids who’ve fallen out of love with books.
🎙️ On the mic
Our founder, Michael, recently joined the Tech Talks podcast to discuss the UK’s children’s literacy crisis, the distinction between addictive and additive technology, and why stories matter so much. Big topics. Big hearts. Still some very silly comics.
📚 And one more thing we’re really excited about…
We’re proud supporters of the UK’s National Year of Reading, a brilliant initiative focused on helping more children discover the joy of stories. It couldn’t be more aligned with our mission to help kids feel confident, inspired, and excited about reading again.
💛 Tiny favour, massive help
Comixit! exists to help kids fall in love with reading. If you want to support our mission, the best way you can support us right now is by leaving a quick review in the App Store.
Reviews help more families discover Comixit! and help us keep building the kind of reading kids actually choose.

As always, thank you for being part of this community. Every read, every message, every shared drawing helps turn screen time into story time.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go investigate who let Dennis the Menace near the press clippings…
Happy reading,
Bryn
